These specialty classes are a great way to develop quality and style in your dancing because the details are layered on top of foundation steps you will already know. Usually the topics covered will be general and applicable to many different dances.
What is Blues Dancing
Blues dancing is a style of partner dance that originally began in African American communities during the early 1900s. It is a street dance, often associated with swing dance, but more intimate and danced to blues music. Because blues dancers often move in close embrace with an African hip action, and burlesque style-movements"

What is West Coast Swing?
West Coast Swing is the most advanced form of the Swing dances because of the use of “compression” and “tension,” which is a stretching, rubber band like movement. It’s a great partner dance that allows the follower the freedom to stylize their movements within the framework of the leader. It’s danced to a variety of music, from smooth jazz to funky hip hop. West Coast Swing dancers have the option of dancing socially, or taking it up a notch to a competitive level. When you take West Coast Swing classes, you’ll dance to top 40 hits, blues, funk, and Old School music, and learn a great foundation of fundamental movement skills to take to all of life’s dance floor celebrations. What is Fusion Dancing?

Fusion dancing is style of dance that has developed out of blues dancing over the past decade. Instructors began taking the principals of blues dancing and mixing in movements adapted from other dances. In a sense they were "fusing" blues with other dances. At the same time, DJs began injecting modern and in many cases electronic music. The result was the creation of a modern dance style exploding with artistry. Fusion dance prides its self on inclusiveness and expression.
